Slowing it down

Let’s take a break from reading tonight. If you are behind, catch up. Tomorrow and Wednesday we will do some reviewing, then we’ll get back up on the saddle.

Monday=New seating arrangement for every class

When you come in the room on Monday, get your new seat location from me (Mrs. Culver).  I change seating at least once a 9 weeks, so it won’t be forever. Just bloom where you are planted. 🙂 Hope you have read chapters six and seven this weekend (or chapter four if you are in periods 2 or 8).  Codeword for extra point on quiz tomorrow: Capote

PS I can only give one extra pt on quizzes because iNow gets in a “tizzy” when pts are too high, so if I said you get 5 pts on previous entries, it’s just one instead. Sorry for confusion. It’s still an extra pt on a quiz! 🙂

PS—do you think that picture is creepy or cool? I can’t decide.

Update, Friday, September 14

Update on work done this week:

Mrs. McLendon completed week one of her two week teaching time. She taught you “The Gift of the Magi” and “The Interlopers.” If you have been absent, please read and review those stories.  The stories are to the right of this post under the heading SHORT STORIES. 🙂

Homework over the weekend is to finish the questions after “The Interlopers”.

Enjoy the pictures of fifth period and eighth period. I don’t think I included any pics of students whose parents didn’t want them on the blog. If I did on accident, please let me know and I will remove it.

PS: LOVED going to the PHS vs. Thompson game tonight. It was the first time I’ve been to a game in a long time and I am amazed at how great our football team is, how HUGE and talented our band is—and I loved the Sinatra stuff!  Not to mention how awesome  the danceteam, flag corps, majorettes, cheerleaders, and even the LETTERMEN are. 😉 Love this school!  Hope everyone is enjoying ninth grade so far.

Remember I am here to help you, so let me know if you are having any problems with any of the work.  Have a great weekend!
