February 28th Announcements

8th grade Panoramic group picture will be taken tomorrow at 2:15pm.

Spring photos for students and faculty will be taken on Thursday, March 3rd during PE classes.

6th and 7th grade students who are interested in trying out for winter guard but didn’t attend the interest meeting need to come by Ms. Marzullo’s room (G-6) to get an application packet.  The clinic fee and paperwork are due by March 25th. Students that ride bus 22-09 will ride bus 09-63 today at bus dismissal.

Students are required to have YOUR school-issued Chromebook AND charger with you in Advisory today.  Make sure both are in your possession today. 

Students that attended the OMHS varsity basketball game today will be excused as long as a parent note is turned in within the 3 days of the absence.  The note MUST be turned in to the school by today (2/25) stating that you gave your student permission to attend the basketball game.  All notes must have a parent signature.

Deadline for all DragonFly forms, including a new physical, is Friday, March 4th. No exceptions! Paper forms found in packet must be signed and returned to Coach Chartrand in D-5 by Friday, March 4th.

February 18th Announcements

Monday, February 21st is an Instructional Day for faculty and staff.  No students.
Today’s baseball game vs McAdory is cancelled. No practice. 

Softball games are canceled. There will be practice until 5.

Good luck to the robotics teams that will compete in the State Robotics Tournament at Auburn University tomorrow.  

Good luck to our choirs at the South Central Classic choir competition at Homewood HS tonight at 6:30.OMMS is so excited the Varsity Boys Basketball team has made it to the Elite 8 round in the Basketball State Championships.  The game will be played this Tuesday,  February 22nd at 10:45am at Wallace State Community College.  

Please note that this day will be an all day excused absence as long as a parent note is turned in within the 3 days of the absence.  The note MUST be turned in to the school by FEB. 25 stating that you gave your student permission to attend the basketball game.  All notes must have a parent signature.

February 17th Announcements

Due to the potential for severe weather conditions on Thursday, February 17, 2022, all after-school activities are canceled.  This includes athletic practices, local athletic events, club meetings and after school tutoring.

Students that attended the OMHS Varsity basketball games today may submit a signed parent note for an excused absence within 3 days.  The parent note MUST be turned in to the school by FEB. 22 stating that you gave your student permission to attend the basketball game.

February 16th Announcements

OMMS is very excited that BOTH the OMHS Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams have made it to the Sweet 16 round in the Basketball State Championships.  Both games will be played BACK TO BACK this Thursday, February 17th at Wallace State Community College  801 Main St NW Hanceville, AL 35077.  The Varsity Girls will play Bob Jones High School at 12:00pm and the Varsity Boys will play Austin High School at 1:30pm.
