May 8 Update

Update for parents:  Our school email is not working properly at this time and we can only send emails out. I am not even sure if the emails I’m sending out are reaching you, but I am sure I am not getting any of your emails. Please do not be offended if I do not respond. If I don’t respond it means that I did not get your email…yet. Perhaps it will trickle down very soon!!!

Your ninth grader should be reading Life as We Knew It. Hopefully it is making them more grateful for the food you have in your house and electicity, etc. 😉 Nothing like end of the world novels. 🙂

Research papers are being graded now. I’ll try to get them back to your child asap. Thanks so much!

Catching Up.

April Calendar  So I have the April calendar for you guys.  There ya go.

I’m selling Life as We Knew Itin class for eight dollars.  You need it for class by April 13th. Here is a little something about the book:

Miranda’s disbelief turns to fear in a split second when a meteor knocks the moon closer to the earth. How should her family prepare for the future when worldwide tsunamis wipe out the coasts, earthquakes rock the continents, and volcanic ash blocks out the sun? As summer turns to Arctic winter, Miranda, her two brothers, and their mother retreat to the unexpected safe haven of their sunroom, where they subsist on stockpiled food and limited water in the warmth of a wood-burning stove.

Told in journal entries, this is the heart-pounding story of Miranda’s struggle to hold on to the most important resource of all–hope–in an increasingly desperate and unfamiliar world.

Research Paper is due May 7th. I will have more info about this on here soon. I already gave you plenty to read/digest/keep.  Parents, please ask your child about their topic. Thanks!
