No weekend homework

Enjoy your weekend.

Today in class we discussed how to start your journal on Monday (bring your composition book then) and did some review classwork on “Cask…” on page 65 of the lit book.

We also did a worksheet together on irony and foreshadowing.

PS: Remember the journals I shared from 87-88? This pic was from 88. I was about 15 or 16…

No homework.  If you were absent today, we had a quiz on “Cask”, homework was taken up, we got our writing portfolios (the extra binder) somewhat organized, and organized our table of contents in our everyday binder/folder.  We also saw two wonderful videos.  🙂 (See above!)

Third period will start “Cask” tomorrow.

You will need your composition book on Monday!

On your calendar, it says that your test is Friday. It’s been moved to next Wednesday, August 31st. Your table of contents (and what you should have on it) is due the same day.

Start bringing your lit book to class…

Weekend Homework

Hello!  Your homework for the weekend is…

1. Make sure your parents sign the Class Expectations form. Bring it on Monday. 10 pts.

2. Bring a small photo of yourself. Please make it a recent picture. Some people have already turned in baby pics and that doesn’t help me put names to faces! 🙂

3. Finish the diagnostic essay if you didn’t in class.

One other thing…bring your extra binder to class Monday so we can start putting together your writing portfolio that will stay in the room all year.

I’m excited about this year and I hope you are too. See you on Monday!
