Know the terms: review, feature article, fact and opinion
Put these questions on your new binder’s table of contents as #1 after you get credit for doing it (put it in the in box drawer).
Don’t do the TIMED WRITING after all (was on the board last Thursday and Friday). I don’t think anyone did this part, but if you did, we can use it for extra credit so it’s not “for nothing.”

4. Topics you can use for your essay:
101 Persuasive Essay and Speech Topics
Your essay is due next week (see calendar) and it should be typed, font TNR 12, double spaced, no “I” or “me”
Using I or me is fine, but let’s not use contractions. I do not need an outline or a rough draft for this essay. (Time constraints.)
You need to quote three sources that strengthen your arguments. (One source quoted/cited in each body paragraph.)
You will need a Work Cited page that shows who these sources are.
Wednesday, Feb. 18: Computer Lab
(ABSENT–students worked on rough drafts in class, using devices to research.)
Meet in the upstairs computer lab to begin typing your persuasive essay.
Thursday, Feb. 19: Computer Lab
First day to type your persuasive essay.
Friday, Feb. 20:
All classes meet me in computer lab to finish typing your essay. Due on Tuesday, February 24 for a gold grade.
