The Wilsonville Civitan Club awards the Revis Memorial Scholarship (formerly the Mary L. Revis Scholarship), and is proud to announce that through fundraising events and the generosity of our community, we are able to increase our scholarship to $650! Please see Mrs. Payne for an application. Deadline is April 15, 2016.

The American Foreign Service Association, in partnership with the United States Institute of Peace, is accepting entries for the AFSA 2016 National High School Essay Contest. The submission deadline is March 15, 2016.

The grand-prize winner will receive a $2,500 cash prize, an all-expense paid two-day trip to Washington, D.C., to meet the Secretary of State and tour the United States Institute of Peace, and a full scholarship for a Semester at Sea upon the student’s enrollment at an accredited university. The runner-up will receive a $1,250 cash prize and a full scholarship to participate in the International Diplomacy Program of the National Student Leadership Conference, held in Washington, D.C., and New York annually.

The Greater Birmingham Area Alumni Chapter of Alabama A&M University will again award academic scholarships to 2016 high school graduates for use during the 2016-2017 school year.
