Alabama Girls State Registration
Alabama Girls State is a week-long, fun-filled, hands-on learning opportunity for some of the best and brightest young women in the State of Alabama. Sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA), Alabama Girls State is a premier youth leadership program which offers a one-of-a-kind experience to its delegates.
ALA Alabama Girls State will be held June 2-7, 2024, on the campus of Troy University, Troy, AL. It is an honor and privilege to pursue the ALA mission: “For God and country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.”
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a junior in high school to be selected.
- Have an interest in government and current events, high moral character, strong leadership ability and above average scholastic standing.
- Not have participated in a previous session of Girls State.
- Be able to participate in ALL activities from Sunday, June 2- Friday, June 7.
