Auburn University Engineering Day

Auburn University E-Day-Friday—-February 23, 2018 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

E-Day is an opportunity for seventh through twelfth graders to explore a wide range of engineering disciplines offered at Auburn University.  Students can view exhibits, talk with faculty and departmental representatives, and meet with other students who know first-hand what it is like to study engineering.

UAB-Alabama Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ALSAMP)

The ALSAMP Summer Bridge Program is a 10-week academic opportunity funded by the National Science Foundation for underrepresented minority students accepted to UAB that plan to major in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) the fall of 2018 at UAB.

June 1-August 10, 2018

Submit a completed ALSAMP Summer Bridge Application on or before Friday, April 20, 2018.

Central Alabama Community College (CACC) Scholarships

Please click on the links below for the 2018-2019 CACC Scholarship Applications. The deadline to turn in applications is March 1st, 2018. Also listed below is a breakdown of the various scholarships.
Ambassador Scholarship – Minimum 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA with a minimum 20 ACT score. This scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees up to $4,800 per academic year, not to exceed two years or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first.
Presidential Honors Scholarship – Minimum 3.5 unweighted cumulative GPA with a minimum 24 ACT score. This scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees up to $4,800 per academic year, not to exceed two years or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first.
Academic Excellence Scholarship – Minimum 3.25 unweighted cumulative GPA with a minimum 20 ACT score. This scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees up to $3,600 per academic year, not to exceed two years or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first.
Performing Arts Scholarship – Minimum 2.5 GPA (No ACT minimum). This scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees up to $3,000 per academic year, not to exceed two years or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first.
Career Technical Honors Scholarship – Minimum 2.5 GPA (No ACT minimum). This scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees up to $4,500 per academic year, not to exceed two years or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first.

Introduce A Girl To Engineering Day

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Girl Day) is a worldwide campaign promoted by Discover E to introduce girls to the fascintaing world of engineering.  The goals of this event are to introduce girls to powerful role models, enhance their understanding of engineering, and encourage engineering or technical careers.

Scholarships for Hispanic Students

Financial need should never limit a student’s ambitions.
Founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) empowers Latino families with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete higher education, while providing scholarships and support services to as many exceptional Hispanic American students as possible.
As the nation’s largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, HSF has awarded more than $550 million in scholarships and provides a range of impactful programs for students, HSF scholars, alumni, and parents.
