Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Girl Day) is a worldwide campaign promoted by Discover E to introduce girls to the fascintaing world of engineering.  The goals of this event are to introduce girls to powerful role models, enhance their understanding of engineering, and encourage engineering or technical careers.

Shelby County High School Partners with Cash for College as Financial Aid Resource for Students

• The Alabama College Application Campaign Week/Cash for College is scheduled for October 30 – November 3, 2017
• Seniors will have an opportunity to complete their FAFSA and apply for college in the SCHS computer lab during their Government class on Friday, November 3rd

The University of Montevallo will be hosting another ACT Prep Camp this summer, allowing students the opportunity to brush up on content and test taking strategy for the ACT.

Camp will be held on Tuesday, May 30th – Friday, June 2nd from 9:00am – 3:00pm daily.  This is a great opportunity for students to achieve their target ACT score as well as increase scholarship opportunities. Also, students receiving reduced lunch will receive a 20% discount when registering.
