AUM Residual ACT

Auburn University at Montgomery is offering the Residual ACT on the following dates. This ACT may only be used for admission and scholarships to AUM.

Registration Deadline: NONE. You may arrive the day of the test without having pre-registered; however, you must bring all of the items listed in the testing instructions section below.

Cost: $40.00 – The nonrefundable fee should be brought with you to the test in the form of CASH or CHECK (Made payable to AUM).

Testing Instructions: You must arrive at the testing room (see schedule above) by 9 a.m. with photo identification and two #2 pencils. If you want to use a calculator for the mathematics portion of the test, you may bring a calculator. Calculators must include batteries. AUM will not furnish batteries for calculators. You cannot bring pocket organizers, handheld or laptop computers, electronic writing pads or pen input devices, calculators built into cell phones, calculators with built in computer algebra systems or models with a typewriter-style keypad. Prohibited calculators include: Casio CFX-9970G and Algebra FX 2.0, Texas Instrument TI89 and TI92, and Hewlett Packard HP 40G and HP 49G.

Scores: Scoring will be done by the Office of Admissions. Your scores will be sent to you through the mail unless other arrangements have been made. You will need to allow 3 working days for the score report processing. Federal regulations prohibit the release of scores over the telephone. Scores from Residual Testing are valid only at AUM and cannot be transferred by transcript or other means to any other institution or agency.

Accommodations: It is the policy of AUM to provide students with disabilities appropriate testing accommodations on the ACT Residual Test. Students with disabilities are encouraged to provide a minimum two weeks notification and appropriate documentation to the Center for Disability Services (CDS) for ACT Residual testing accommodations. Students may contact CDS in the Taylor Center or call CDS at 334-244-3631 prior to or upon enrollment at AUM.

eCO Credit Union A.L. Bratcher Scholarship

The Educators Community Credit Union will award two high school seniors a $2500 A. L. Bratcher Scholarship. Eligibility requirements include: The applicant must be/ or become a member of ECO Crediut Union, with their account in good standing. Applicant must become a member no later than March 3, 2017. The application must be a senior in high school who will be enrolled or plan to be enrolled in an undergraduate course of study during the 2017-2018 academic school year at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university, or vocation-technical college.

Members of the ECO Board of Directors and the Scholarship Committee and their immediate family members/ dependents of the same household, as well as ECO employees and their family members/ dependents of the same household are not eligible to receive the scholarship.

Coosa Pines FCU Scholarship

Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union will be awarding sixteen $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the fall of 2017. Judging will be conducted by a Scholarship Selection Committee. The scholarships will be awarded to students, Coosa Pines FCU members, who exemplify credit union values of personal and civic responsibility through their grades, extracurricular activities, essay responses, letter(s) of recommendation, and/or community service.

Alabama Center for Architecture

The Alabama Center for Architecture is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to advance the enjoyment of architecture and design through engagement, education and collaboration. Per that mission, we offer scholarships for Alabama high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited school of architecture.

In 2016 the ACFA awarded more than $6,000 in scholarships, and since its creation in 2006, we have awarded $60,000 in scholarships to architecture students. These funds are made possible through our annual golf tournament, scholarship grants from the American Institute of Architects, and generous donations of patrons and sponsors.

Revis Memorial Scholarship

The Wilsonville Civitan Club offers a $1000 Revis Memorial Scholarship. As a civic organization, the WCC looks for students who are very involved with their communities.

The PDF application is attached. It is preferred that the application be filled out on the computer then printed. The last page of the application should be printed and used as a checklist. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Completed applications are due back to Mrs. Payne or Mrs. Keahey by April 11.

Parentinn – Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship

In an effort to the cause of preventing cyberbullying, Parentinn has created the “Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship” for High school students.

– Applicant must write an article of 600-1000 words on the topic “Why is it important to stop cyberbullying?”
