We are looking for an outstanding young woman to present as a candidate for our 2021-2022 STAR scholarship. P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization committed to educating women. We have chapters throughout the US and Canada and support six philanthropies including the STAR scholarship and Cottey College, a two-year college (with several baccalaureate programs). The STAR Scholarship is a very competitive award: we are looking for a prospective candidate who is an outstanding example of excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service, and potential for future success.
An informal brochure describing the eligibility requirements are attached below. After reviewing this information, a committee will interview prospective candidates in September or early October and determine the young women who most closely personifies the eligibility requirements.
