Graduating seniors can apply for awards totaling $5000 offered by the Shelby County chapter of the NAACP and the Montevallo Legacy Project.

Eligibility: Seniors graduating from Shelby County public high schools with leadership potential and a demonstrated commitment to advancing racial justice. 

Submission deadline: February 28, 2025

This is a great opportunity for seniors who are interested in a career in construction and haven’t taken any related classes. The camp is 8 days!

Boot camp is an opportunity:

• To learn about a career in non-residential construction and the income and benefits associated with employment. 
• To use the tools of the trade, and what is expected when working in a trade.
• To participate in multiple interviews with companies seeking to hire new high school graduates.
