The American School Bus Council announces “The Value of the Yellow School Bus to Education High School Student Video Scholarship Contest.” The contest is open to any individual who is enrolled in high school in the United States. Each submission must be the work of one individual (the “Entrant”) and must be submitted by May 6, 2020.Â

The Birmingham Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is now accepting applications for its 2020 scholarship program. AABE is an organization of energy professionals dedicated to including African Americans and other minorities in the discussion and development of energy policies, regulations, R&D technologies and environmental issues. One of the purposes of AABE is to encourage minority students to pursue careers in energy-related fields and to provide scholarships for such students.
The AABE Birmingham Scholarship Program offers a Premier Award of $5,000, which is awarded to a high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 or better, who demonstrates superior achievement and community involvement. AABE awards scholarships based on several traditional and non-traditional criteria. Students applying for the Birmingham Chapter’s Premier Award may be selected to also compete as a candidate for the National Scholarship process; no further information will be needed.
