The deadline to submit applications is Friday, October 30th, 2020.  Applications can be submitted via email to pxocap@gmail.com. Please let us know if you have any questions.

From the University of North Alabama….

I wanted to send some information regarding UNA’s Virtual Preview Day on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH FROM 5PM-7PM. We will host the event via REMO – a unique virtual conferencing software that allows students to “move” about the virtual event and talk directly to Admissions, Financial Aid, our Colleges and programs – and more!

We are also hosting a Drive Thru College Fair. If you have students who are interested in a full-service visit, they can come to the drive thru fair and then get a tour of our campus immediately after!

Students can register via their MyUNA account at apply.una.edu, or go to una.edu/visit for more information.

I am able to accept transcripts from counselors via email. If you have students who have applied to UNA, please feel free to send me information regarding transcripts or ACT scores.

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Updates…

– AUM has a free application year-round so you won’t need to get a code or voucher for the AL College App week. The application will be open for seniors until August of 2021.

– Automatic (Merit) Scholarships start at an 18 on the ACT. We super-score the ACT at AUM, and our scholarship deadline isn’t until June 1, 2021 for seniors.

– AUM is also offering a waiver on the ACT for Fall of 2021 (because of the virus). This means that if a student has a 2.3-2.99 GPA they will be accepted (conditionally) through AUM Bridge; if they have a 3.0+ GPA they will be accepted and offered our starting scholarship automatically. The ACT/SAT can only help a student, it cannot hurt their scholarships or their acceptance!

Important Announcement from Troy University Admissions

Test-Optional Admissions Policy
Due to the limited access to ACT/SAT testing for the Class of 2021, Troy University is implementing a test-optional admissions policy for undergraduate freshmen applicants for the spring, summer and fall 2021 entry terms. We recognize that COVID-19 has caused numerous complications for high school seniors attempting to prepare for their collegiate careers and we want to be sure that those obstacles are not limiting students from possible enrollment at TROY.

-Applicants must still apply online and submit their high school transcript with minimum 6 semesters of high school grades reported.
-Applicants with a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA will meet our unconditional admissions requirements.
-Applicants with a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school GPA will meet our conditional admissions requirements.
-We still see value in using the ACT/SAT with regards to scholarship awards. -Students interested in being considered for a merit scholarship at TROY must submit their ACT/SAT scores. Keeping in mind the current complications with standardized testing, we have extended our merit scholarship deadline to March 1, as scholarship funds remain available. To assist students with testing, we will host numerous residual ACT dates from November 2020 through February 2021. We encourage applicants interested in TROY scholarships to register to take the residual ACT with us.

For more information email us at admit@troy.edu or connect with your Admissions Counselor at 334-670-3179.
