*Announcements:
*The Yearbook signing party will be today for $2.00. We will be on an activity schedule today.
*There are applications in the office for any student that is interested in joining the Montevallo Junior City Council. If you plan to take one, please have it filled and returned by May 17th to the front office.
*The Talent Show will be next Thursday at 1pm for $2.00.
*There will be no lunch charges from now until the end of school.
*All Make up work for Mrs. Whitt – Wright is due by today at the end of 4th period.
*The Honor Roll Field Trip Permission slips and $6.00 need to be turned in by Monday to Mrs. Lusco or Mrs. Little
*Archery Tryouts for next year will be next Thursday after school from 3-5 at the MMS gym. There will be an archery class during 4th period next year.
*All library books are due by today. ELA teachers will collect books each period and have one or two students bring the stack of books to the library. Students, please look through your locker, book bag, and at home for your book and turn it in. If you can’t find your library book, you will need to pay for it. You will not be able to attend Spring Fling until all your books are either turned in or paid for.
* If you participated in the Keyboarding Challenge in the library last week, the winners will be announced on or possibly before Wednesday, May 17th. The top 12 typists from each grade competed against 5 other middle schools in Shelby County. Thanks to everyone who participated and we’ll announce the winning school and the top 3 typists from each grade as soon as we hear back next week.
*The Writing Our Stories Assembly for 6th and 7th graders will be on Wednesday at 9am.
*The LOT Graduation Dinner will be next Thursday night at 6pm at the Parnell Library.
*The 8th Grade Cookout will be next Friday.
*Remember that you will not be able to attend the end of the year activities if you owe money for textbooks, library books, or if you are failing your classes.
*Students being disciplined for dress code will have an hour deducted from spring fling for each offense.
