Happy Birthday: Takishlyn Farrington
*Announcements:
*There are applications in the office for any student that is interested in joining the Montevallo Junior City Council. If you plan to take one, please have it filled and returned by May 17th to the front office.
*The Talent Show will be Thursday at 1pm for $2.00.
*The Honor Roll Field Trip Permission slips and $6.00 need to be turned in today to Mrs. Little. The trip is tomorrow. Remember to bring money for lunch at a nearby restaurant or bring your own lunch.
*Archery Tryouts for next year will be Thursday after school from 3-5 at the MMS gym. There will be an archery class during 4th period next year. Students that are trying out for Archery on Thursday need to report to the gym on the first bell. Don’t forget to bring a note to carry your bow on the bus, and it must be in a covered container. No loose bows or arrows will be permitted. See Coach Jett with any questions.
*All Library Books must be turned in!!!!
* If you participated in the Keyboarding Challenge in the library last week, the winners will be announced on or possibly before Wednesday, May 17th. The top 12 typists from each grade competed against 5 other middle schools in Shelby County. Thanks to everyone who participated and we’ll announce the winning school and the top 3 typists from each grade as soon as we hear back next week.
*The Writing Our Stories Assembly for 6th and 7th graders will be on Wednesday at 9am.
*The LOT Graduation Dinner will be Thursday night at 6pm at the Parnell Library.
*The 8th Grade Cookout will be this Friday.
*Remember that you will not be able to attend the end of the year activities if you owe money for textbooks, library books, or if you are failing your classes.
*Students being disciplined for dress code will have an hour deducted from spring fling for each offense.
