*Announcements:

*There will be no school tomorrow due to a teacher workday.

*Today is the last day of the 9 weeks.

*8^th graders remember to get your course selections for next year signed by your parents and returned.  If you did not get your form to Mrs. Allen Monday, you must give it to Mrs. Lusco today.

*All cheerleading tryout paperwork MUST be returned to Mrs. Bishop no later than today. Clinic begins after school next Monday at MHS.

All math team members 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th graders must return their permission forms to go to the county tournament on Wednesday.

*Yearbooks are on sale today for $30.00.

*Soccer has a home game today against Calera at 5:30pm

*The MMS PE department would like to thank all the HOOPS FOR HEART participants.  All 112 participants raised $792 total to help fight heart disease.  7th grade had the most participation with 43 followed by 6th grade with 38 and 8th grade with 31 students.  Our top money raiser for students was Aniya Rutledge with $50 and the Top teacher was Carolyn Nelson with $150.

*Thursday is the last day of the 9 weeks.  Check with your teachers for all due dates for make up work.

*8^th graders remember to get your course selections for next year signed by your parents and returned. If you didn’t get your form to Mrs. Allen yesterday, you must give it to Mrs. Lusco this week.

*8^th grade girls will have a brief meeting in the gym at the beginning of 4^th period. You will be called to come to the meeting from your 4^th period class.

*Congratulations to the student of the week: Matthew Winslett. He was nominated by Coach Taylor. Coach Taylor states that Matthew picked up all the trash at the track meet without even being asked. He exemplified the character traits of service and respect for the environment.
