“Good morning, today is Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.

Character Education Theme of the Month: Citizenship;  Citizenship is The character of an individual viewed as a member of society; behavior in terms of the duties, obligations, and functions of a citizen:

Quote of the Week: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” –Margaret Mead

  • Anyone interested in trying out for tennis needs to sign up with Miss T. Jackson.  Students trying out must also have a Dragonfly account and also have an up to date physical exam by Nov 14th.
  • Baseball tryouts will be November 8, 9, 10, 16, and 17 at the high school field. Students should be there no later than 3:15
  • Girls that are interested in softball need to sign up with Coach Jett or Coach Adams.  Try-outs will be Wednesday, Nov. 16 and Thursday, Nov. 17 from 3:15 – 5:00 at the high school Orr Park field. Girls riding a bus need to bring a note to get off their bus at MES.  They can get dressed at the field bathrooms.  See the coaches with any questions
  • FBLA will be meeting after school on Thursday. Anyone interested in joining is also welcome to attend. See Mrs. Serrano for more information
  • Please congratulate Jace Lewis on being selected as Athlete of the Month for October.  Jace plays both football and basketball.  Way to go!
  • Be a good citizen today by helping someone in need!!!

  • Baseball tryouts will be November 8, 9, 10, 16, and 17 at the high school field. Students should be there no later than 3:15
  • The drawing for Red Ribbon Week prizes will be held today, so please get those drawings turned in soon!!!

  • Congratulations to the Lady dawgs for another hard fought 20 to 16 victory over Centreville middle last night. Amariona Davis led scorers with 8 and Amya Hudson pulled down 14 rebounds! Way to go girls! Both Bulldog teams play their first HOME game tomorrow vs. Columbiana starting at 5:00. Come support your teams!

  • The lady dawgs in all orange fought from behind to defeat Thorsby Jr. High in a 29-28 Halloween victory last night. Amariona Davis led all scorers with 24. Way to go! Both teams play again tonight at Centreville middle starting at 5.
  • If any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl is interested in being on the golf team, please sign up with Coach Jett, Coach Horton or Mr. Howard.  You do not have to have any experience or equipment.
  • Middle school wrestlers who need to ride a bus to MHS for practice today need to ride Ms. Haynie’s bus!!! Her bus number is 18-23. YOU WILL NEED A BUS NOTE. 
  • The 3rd Annual Chief’s Challenge has been moved to Thursday Nov. 3rd
  • There is still time to enter your drug free drawing into the red ribbon contest, please turn your work in at the front office.
