Black History Fact for Today: James McCune Smith was the first African American person to earn a medical degree. He also started the nation’s first pharmacy under Black ownership, and was the first African American to have their work published in a peer-reviewed medical journal.

- Pageant Day is March 18th! Anyone interested in participating in the Montevallo Day of Pageants, forms are now available; forms are due by February 22 ā¦See Mrs. Johnson in the choir room.
- High School Cheer Tryouts are March 10-13 for 8th grade students who are interested in cheering in high school. Mandatory Parent Meeting is March 1st @ 6:00PM. Packets are in the office.
