Announcements:
* 8th grade will test today and tomorrow. There will be no cell phones, smart watches, or other electronic allowed in the testing rooms. Students not testing will need to be quiet in the hallways during passing periods, get their books for the first three periods, and there will be no bells in the morning.
*FBLA Forms and money for the field trip are due to Mrs. Thomas today.
*Teachers:Ā Donāt forget today there are PLC Meetings after school.
*The Community Chess night is tonight at Montevallo High School from 4-6 in the MHS Library.
*There is an 8th grade parent meeting tonight at 5pm in the MMS Library for anyone interested in helping to plan the 8th grade cookout.
*Wish the track team luck as they compete at the County Track meet today after school at Pelham High School.
*The Boys soccer team plays at John Carroll today at 5pm.
*Attention all students. MMS is having a talent show this year and if you want to be a part of it, you must audition. There is a sign-up sheet for the MMS Talent Show Auditions posted outside the Band/Choir Room door. Auditions will be on Friday, April 22nd all day in the Band/Choir Room. You must pay $5 per person to audition on April 22nd. Groups must sign up each member. We are looking for all talent! (Singing, Dancing, Poetry, Art displays, Plays, Skits, Instrument playing etc)
*High School Basketball tryouts for current 8th grade boys will be on Monday, April 25th and Tuesday, April 26th after school until 5:30pm at the MHS gym. Sign up on Coach Hortonās door and get a tryout packet.
*Middle School Boys basketball tryouts will be held Thursday, April 21st and Friday, April 22nd after school until 5:30pm at the MHS gym.Ā Sign up on Coach Hortonās door and get a tryout packet.
*Congratulations to the student of the week for this week:. Chaniya Reed.Ā She was nominated by Mrs. Colley. Ā Mrs. Colley states that Chaniya is always willing to do anything that is asked of her with a willing spirit and a smile on her face.Ā She is a diligent student and represents MMS well in athletics and other activities.
*Congratulations to Evan Zou and Taylor Edwards.Ā They were recognized at the Shelby County Career and Technical Educational Awards Banquet.Ā Evan represented FBLA and Taylor represented FCCLA.
