*Announcements:
*Both volleyball and girl’s basketball try-outs have been postponed until April 17 – 20 for volleyball and the 24th – 27th for basketball. See Coach Conroy or Coach Jett for MMS permission forms and if you have not had a physical yet, you need to get a physical form. You must have these 2 forms to try-out for volleyball or basketball.
*MMS Basketball Tryouts for the 2017-18 school year will be held on:
Dates: Monday, April 10, 2017 – Tuesday, April 11, 2017
Location: Montevallo Middle School.
Time: 4:00 – 5:30 pm
All candidates must pick up a tryout packet from Coach Horton and have it completed and turned in to Coach Horton by Friday, April 7, 2017. You must have all forms and a current physical to tryout. Also, you must be present both days to complete the tryout.
*Current 8th grade (rising 9th) that are interested in trying out for basketball know that they’ll have tryouts at the High School on Tuesday, April 18 – Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Montevallo High School from 3:15-5. They also need to fill out the same paperwork and sign the form for High School Tryouts…
*Yearbooks are still on sale for $30.00 during the month of April. Be sure to reserve your copy before they sell out. See Mrs. Harding for details.
*8th Grade Scholar’s Bowl will meet today after school.
*Baseball practice has been cancelled for today.
*If you are planning on going on the FBLA field trip, forms must be turned in to Mrs. Thomas by tomorrow
*We are collecting box tops again. Remember that for every 10 box tops that you turn in, you get two tardy to class passes.
*Congratulations to the student of the week: Madison Reasor. She was nominated by Mrs. Harding. Mrs. Harding states that Maddie continuously demonstrates the character traits of leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Maddie is always willing to help other students in the classroom when needed. She works well in groups and goes above and beyond what is expected by keeping those around her focused and on track. She also shows determination when faced with difficult tasks and always strives to do her best.
