Daily Announcements 10/18/2018

*Announcements:

*Tomorrow will be LEAD. We will be on an activity schedule.

*All athletes and students who are a part of an extra-curricular activity, if you earned a failing grade for the first nine weeks, you must attend after school tutoring. You can pick up an Academics First form from Ms. Dinkins or in the office and get the form signed by your parents. Tutoring is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15. If you are involved in an extra- curricular activity and want extra help in your classes, you may also attend the Academics First Tutoring with a signed permission form, but it is mandatory for those who failed a class.

*Picture order forms are due back by tomorrow to your 4th period teacher. Make-up picture day will be October 29th.

*Boys Soccer Conditioning continues today after school until 4:30pm. See Coach Thomas if you have any questions.

* Flu shots will be given today.

*The Honor Roll party will be held today.

*Tryouts and Practice for 7th and 8th grade Scholars Bowl will be held on Monday, October 22nd after school until 4:45pm.  If you plan to stay after school for tryouts, please have your parents pick you up no later than 5pm. See Mrs. Lusco if you have any questions.

*Tryouts for 6th grade Scholar’s Bowl will be next Wednesday after school. Ask Mrs. Nelson for more information.

*There will be a Future Troubadour Camp for MES &  MMS students on October 23 and October 25th from 3:15-4:30 at MHS. The cost is $20.00 and includes a T Shirt. Students participating will get to march with the high school band on Friday, Oct 26th’s game at 6pm. Contact Mrs. Underwood or Dawn Cabrera at MMS for more information. Permission slips and information about the camp are in the MMS front office

*Keep selling your Nothing Bundt Cakes and turn in any Boxtops for Education.

*The BETA club will be sponsoring a canned food and toiletry drive for Oak Mountain Missions who is low on supplies for the Holidays.  Please bring in any canned or boxed food items, unopened toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, toilet paper etc and bring them to Mrs. Day’s classroom.  Please place them in the grade level boxes and the grade level with the most donations will have open seating at lunch. The deadline for donations is November 9th.

*Next week is Red Ribbon Week. The theme for the week is “Life is a journey, travel drug free”.
