*Announcements:

* Today we will be on activity schedule for LEAD.

* Progress Reports will go home today in your 4th period.

*There will be no school on Monday November 12th in observance of Veteran’s Day.

*8th grade Scholar’s Bowl Team will meet every morning Mon-Thur in Lab 28 from 7:00-7:30 am starting Tuesday.  6th and 7th Grade Scholars Bowl will meet on Wednesdays after school.

*There will be a mandatory parent meeting for soccer players on Thursday, November 15th, at 5pm. See Coach Thomas for more information.

*Today is the last day to turn in any canned goods or toiletry items for Oak Mountain Missions.

*As a fundraiser, MMS will be selling Priester’s Pecans. Money and order forms are due on November 26th.

*The playoff game at the high school tonight is “Black Out Andulusia”. Students are encouraged to wear black. In order to avoid long lines, the AHSAA has chosen to make tickets available online through GoFan for this week’s game at http://gofan.us/d17fb9

*There will be a home basketball game on Tuesday night against Jemison.

*Congratulations to the 8th grade who donated the most canned goods to the Oak Mountain Missions.  They will receive open seating at lunch today. The two student who brought in the most canned goods was Emily Pennington and Kelston Hodges.  She will receive a free slushie.

*CONGRATULATIONS to BOTH BULLDOG teams again for their victories against Columbiana last night. The boys won 34-26. The girls defeated the wildcats 33-20. Teasia Purnell led all scorers with 8, Paige Johnson was next with 7, followed by Siarra Kennedy with 6 and Hannah Locks with 5. Camille Holmes also scored 4 and Keniya Simpson chipped in 3 for the lady dawgs. Both teams will play again next Wednesday at Rudd. Way to go!

*Today at the beginning of 4th period, there will be a brief informational meeting in the library about Book Olympiad.  Only those who signed up on the list in the library should attend.  4th period teachers, I have emailed you a list of students. Coming to the meeting does not commit you to being a part of the team.  If you have already signed up on the list in the library, come to the Book Olympiad interest meeting at the beginning of 4th period, find out more about it, and see if its a good fit for you.
