Announcements:

  • Yearbooks are now on sale for the discounted price of $25.00. This price will only last through the month of January, so be sure to reserve your copy now. You can give cash or a check (made out to MMS) to Mrs. Harding. You can also pay online with a debit card by going to yearbookordercenter.com and using the school code 1564. Please see Mrs. Harding for any questions.
  • Attention all students! Do you have a talent you would like to share with your MMS family? Start getting those acts together and watching for how to sign up for this year’s talent show.
  • Congratulations to Ben Locks for being recognized as athlete of the month for December.
  • Any 7th or 8th grade girl or boy that is interested in trying out for archery on Friday 1/31 after school from 3 – 4:30 needs to get a permission form from Coach Jett or Coach Horton.  You do not need a physical to try out for this sport. You must bring back the permission form by Friday and report to the gym after the 2nd bell.
  • The MMS Ambassadors will be hosting a canned food drive to help out the Shelby Emergency Assistance office here in Montevallo. Beginning Monday, January 2th – please bring in cans and packages of non-perishable food. BE SURE TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE CANS OR PLASTIC BAG YOU BRING THEM IN. THERE WILL BE BOXES LOCATED AT EACH ENTRANCE FOR YOUR DONATIONS OR YOU CAN BRING THEM TO MRS. DAY’S ROOM BEFORE SCHOOL. Rewards for donations are as follows:
  •  5 cans – 1 Tardy to Any Class Pass
  • 10 cans – 1 Homework in Any Class Pass + 1 Tardy to Any Class Pass
  • 15 or MORE  – Free time in gym during 4th Period + 1 Homework Pass + 1 Tardy Pass
  • Help the Ambassadors fight hunger in Montevallo. If you have questions, ask an Ambassador or Mrs. Day.
