- Tryouts for soccer will be held after school on October 3rd and 4th for girls and October 11 and 12 for boys. Please ensure you have transportation and DragfonFly accounts completed. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Martinez or Mrs. Serrano.
- Students please have your Counseling Opt-In form signed, you will need this form to participate in any classroom guidance lessons. You can come to the front office to get a form or if you see Mrs. Thomas, let her know you need one
- CONGRATULATIONS to both our volleyball teams on a great 2022 season. Our 8th graders pounded West Blocton last night for the W and finished their 2 year record 16 wins and 1 loss. Aaliyah Dubose served a perfect 13 out of 13 and Sarah Kayte Lash had 10 out of 13 with 7 ACES. Emery Adams served 7 out of 8 with 3 KILLS, and Amariona Davis had 4 KILLS. Way to go Lady Dawgs!!!
- In appreciation of Hispanic Heritage Month here is a fun fact: Selena Quintanilla-Pérez is a Mexican-American, and she is considered one of the most influential Latin singers of all time. She has sold over 65 million albums, making her the best-selling female artist in Latin music history. She released an English album in 1995, which made it on the Billboard 200. She was the first Latin artist to do this. In 1997, Jennifer Lopez starred in a movie about her life and career.
