- “The Montevallo High School Band is launching an auxiliary training program for middle school students. If you would like to learn what it takes to be on the dance team, in the colorguard, or want to be a majorette come see Mr. Hodges or Mrs. DeRocher so that you can start practicing with the high school auxiliary and marching band. We would love for you to join us.”
- 6th grade students, please join the MHS Varsity Cheer Squad for 2022 Homecoming Youth Cheer Clinic Wednesday, September 7th at the MHS Football stadium from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Cost is $10 to participate.
- The Faculty/Staff member of the month: Katherine Middaugh is this month’s winner!
- Katherine works as a Paraeducator at MMS. She stated that, “It has been a privilege working here. Every day it is my mission to help each student to do their best and to assist each teacher so that they can teach their best. I wear many coats. I provide one on one instruction, I am the students biggest cheerleader, and I sometimes provide a shoulder for them to cry on when needed. Being able to give back to the community that I grew up in has truly been an honor. Helping MMS to be great, encourages me to be great and for that I am appreciative.”
