* This Friday will be the 6th grade field trip to the Space Center and the 8th grade field trip to Montevallo High School.

*Progress Reports go home tomorrow.

*6th grade testing will be tomorrow and Wednesday. Bells will be off during testing and students must be quiet in the hallways. 7th and 8th grade students will need to get their books out of their lockers for 1st-4th periods and for your afternoon classes. No cell phones will be allowed in the testing rooms.

*Girls’ VB and BB will practice tomorrow after school. There will be a parent meeting for volleyball and girl’s basketball players tomorrow at 5pm here at MMS after practice.

*Middle School Football tryouts will be this week. Students trying out should report to the gym on the second bell.

*Upward Bound will be here on Friday for 8th graders at 2pm. Application packets will be due back in early May.

*Student Institute will present tonight at the Montevallo City Council Meeting.

Please do not bring any books to the testing room. Students must get their 1st through 3rd period books and materials and then 5th and 6th period materials out of their lockers so we don’t have kids at the lockers except 4th or 7th period. If you do not know where you are testing, ask one of your teachers or check the lists outside their doors. 6th grade will test next week.

*Girls after school work-outs is cancelled for today for both volleyball and basketball. Practice will resume on Tuesday.  There will be a parent meeting for volleyball and girl’s basketball players on Tuesday, April 23rd at 5pm here at MMS after practice.

*FCCLA is sponsoring, “Cookies for COTS” this week. FCCLA members will be taking pre-orders for three kinds of cookies in the Cafeteria this week during 4^th period. You can order 2 cookies for $1.00 and they will be delivered to you during COTS tomorrw. Be sure to visit the order table in the Cafeteria before Friday so you can have a sweet treat during COTS.
