Announcements:
*Tonight will be the MMS Open House at 5:30pm. Please encourage your parents to attend. The band and choir will be performing and your parents will get a chance to visit your teacher’s classrooms. There will also be chess boards set up in the library so you can play your parents a game of chess. The open house will end at 7:30pm. Band Members, LOT Members, Choir Members, and Ambassadors should dress nice for the occasion.
*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held on February 6th in the Performing Arts Center at MHS. The registration packets are now in the office for pick up and are due on Friday, January 29th.
*Please keep bringing in box tops. For every 10 that you bring in, you will receive two tardy to class passes.
*Literary magazine submissions are due to Ms. Moore or your ELA teacher by the end of January.
*The LOT students will be on a field trip today.
*Congratulations to the student of the week: Cody Posey. He was nominated by Mrs. Nelson. Mrs. Nelson states that Cody epitomizes the character traits of service and compassion when he offered to her hand warmers while she was out doing car rider duty in the bitter cold.
Any 8th grader interested in trying out for color guard, dance line, or majorette as part of the 2016 Montevallo Marching Troubadours needs to see Mr. Lawley to receive an informational packet. There is a mandatory parent meeting about tryouts on February 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the Montevallo High School band room
