  • Tryouts for soccer will be held after school on today and Tuesday for girls and October 11 and 12 for boys. DragonFly account must be completed. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Martinez or Mrs. Serrano. 
  • Interest Meeting for Coding Club is Thursday October 6th from 3:30-4:00 in Ms. T. Jackson’s Room.  
  • Interest Meeting for 6th Grade Scholars Bowl Team is Tuesday October 4th from 3:30-4:00 in Ms. T. Jackson’s room.  Please make sure your ride knows pick up time is at 4:00 
  • In appreciation of Hispanic Heritage Month here is a fun fact: One of the most reliable systems to measure the intensity of the seismic tremors was invented by Chilean Arturo Arias in 1969. Nowadays, his contribution helps to determine risks and is used by engineers to measure the damage that an earthquake causes to buildings.
  • Homecoming week is next week Oct 11th-14th.  We will have dress up days: Students are out on Monday, October 10th!!!
  • Tuesday: Twin/Triplet Day
  • Wednesday: Neon Wednesday
  • Thursday: Wipe Out The Wild Cats, dress in beach theme attire
  • Friday: School Spirit, Dress in Orange and Blue
  • The details are also provided to faculty on our shared drive.  We encourage everyone to participate in our dress-up days  Also, we will have a pep rally on Thursday, Oct 13th and our School Dance will be on Friday, Oct 14th, please provide a 5 dollar donation if you would like to attend

  • Information about Dr. Young-Lowe: As a science teacher, it is her goal to transform students into scientific thinkers.  Her approach stems from the belief that all students can and will learn.  She creates a  mutually respectful, nonjudgmental learning environment where making errors is okay and results in improved learning and evidence based practices.  She uses strategies and approaches that engage yet challenge students’ level of thinking which leads them to see things differently, and develop behaviors and make decisions that will benefit them and their community
