Wed. Jan 15 will be late start for MHS students. Classes will begin at 8:30.
* Tomorrow will be picture make-up for any student in grades 9, 10, and 11 who DID NOT have theirs made 1st semester.
These are the pictures that will go in the yearbook, so please be sure to get yours made if you haven’t already. This is
ONLY for students who have not had a picture taken.
* Yearbook sales will continue until February 5th.
Sr. Yearbook ads deadline for turning in your information and pictures is February 5th. We will NOT be able to take any
after that date due to our yearbook page deadlines. If you need an ad sheet, they are outside Ms. Ham’s classroom.
Any students interested in boys or girls track need to sign- up this week with Coach McCaleb.
* There will be a parent meeting for all soccer players on today starting at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held in Coach
Galloway’s classroom.
* Prom Tickets will be sold during lunch. Cost is $30 each until March.
 The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held Saturday, Feb. 8. All entry forms and payments must be turned in by
Friday, Jan. 31st. All girls and boys in grades 9-12 may participate. Forma may be picked up in the main office or
from Ms. Turner.
MHS will be administering the ASVAB on Thurs., Jan. 23 at 8:00 a.m. Interested students should sign up with Ms. Allen
by Jan. 16.
There will be an “Above the Influence” meeting in the band room this Thursday morning from 7:15 – 7:40 A.M.
“Above the Influence” is a program where students will be empowered to make a difference within their community,
school, and families. The students involved in the program will participate in two community service projects.
If you are interested in being a part of this program and making a positive difference in your school and
community, please attend our first meeting this Thursday morning. All students are welcome to attend.
Students: This Friday is the deadline to register for the ASVAB. 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are invited to sign up. The test
is on Jan. 23 and will begin at 8:00.
Seniors: This Friday is the last day to sign up for the College Application Blitz scheduled for Jan. 23. The sign-up sheet is
outside Ms. Allen’s office.
Juniors and Seniors: A representative from Jacksonville State University will be on campus Wednesday, Jan. 22 during
7th period in the library. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office
