Reminder: Federal guidelines prohibit commercial food (McDonald’s, Jack’s, etc) in the cafeteria/school, therefore, we do not allow the delivery of such food to students nor will they be allowed to bring such food.

ALL elected SGA members who are traditional students will be meeting with Ms. Pastor during LEAD 3rd period today.


3rd period rotations begin tomorrow. Students can check with their 3rd period teacher today to make sure they know where they are reporting tomorrow.

REMOTE STUDENTS: Please inform the school by 3 pm TODAY if your child will be returning from Remote to Traditional on Oct. 12.

Students interested in being a homecoming court candidate need to get a packet from Mrs. Fricke, room 203. Completed packets and a $10 registration fee are due by Wednesday, September 30 in order to appear on the homecoming court ballot.

REMOTE STUDENTS: Please inform the school by TOMORROW, Sept. 25 if your child will be returning from Remote to Traditional on Oct. 12

Students interested in being a member of the Dawg Impact team this year should pick up a letter and sign the list outside of Mrs. Williams’s office before the end of the day Friday.


For any junior or senior that is interested in attending a military academy after high school, the office of Congressman Gary Palmer is hosting Academy Night on Thursday, October 8th from 6-7 pm. Please see Mrs. Williams for more information.

Refunds for tickets purchased for the MHS vs Vincent game will be issued by GoFan, crediting the card/account that was initially used to purchase the tickets. NO FUNDS for this game have been issued to us from GoFan, so if a payer has any issues with their refund they should contact GoFan directly, NOT the local school.

Correction to the SGA Election announcement: SGA Elections will be conducted in Social Studies classrooms NEXT WEEK on Wednesday, September, 23rd. Ms. Pastor will email candidates this week regarding the Campaign Slide they are to create.

Basketball will be holding tryouts Friday from 6:00 PM – 7:30 in the Gym. Players interested either may email Coach Bell or come by his room if possible.


School pictures and senior portrait make-ups will be September 22.
REMOTE STUDENTS ONLY: Sr. Portrait make-up will begin @ 8 am. Regular school day pictures will be from 8:45-9:30am.

Due to the threat of severe weather,  all after school athletic practices are canceled for today.  This includes basketball try-outs. 

Come Worship with First Priority – Thursday morning in Mrs. Cabrera room 305 in the Alice Boyd building.


Attention Seniors: If you would like to be nominated for the Rising Star $5000 scholarship award from WBRC FOX 6 News, please email Mrs. Williams your resume by Tuesday, September 22nd. You must have a 3.0 GPA and serve in your community to be selected.

Junior League of Montgomery College and Career Fair (Sept 14-Sept 16)

The Junior League of Montgomery invites you to attend its virtual 36th Annual College and Career Fair.

This event is for high school students and their parents.  It will provide you the opportunity to meet representatives from four-year colleges and universities and two-year community colleges as well as numerous employers.

SGA candidate application due tomorrow. Elections will be conducted in Social Studies Google Classrooms via a Google Form on Wednesday. Winners will be announced on Thursday. In case there is a runoff for any close races (margin of fewer than 10 votes), it will be held on Friday.


Football, cheer, and band picture orders are due TOMORROW to Mrs. Fricke, room 203.


Basketball will be holding tryouts this week for 2 days! (Wednesday, Sept. 16 and Friday, Sept. 18) Both nights tryouts will be from 6:00 PM – 7:30 in the Gym. Players interested either may email Coach Bell or come by his room if possible.
