*The Bulldogs will take on Leeds Friday night in Round 2 of the play-offs. We will pre-sale tickets to the game in the main office Thursday & Friday…cost is $8.00.
*The theme for Friday is “Surf the Green Wave”, so everyone dress up as surfers and beach bums to help encourage the team to beat Leeds in round two of playoffs
*Due to the playoff game being held on Friday, the basketball game against Calera has been changed to Nov. 30
*Students, remember to get your forms signed for you November Community Service hours. The November service hours are due December 2nd. You MUST turn in your “Give Me Five” hours for your grade to your history teacher in order for your November hours to count for prizes.
*Future Teachers will have a meeting tonight at 6. See Mrs. Cabrera for the menu. Do not
forget your gifts for the Christmas Shoe Box. Bring items tonight .
*Juniors and Seniors: A representative from Lawson State Community College will be on campus this Thursday, Nov. 12 during 7th period in the library to meet with interested students. Sign up in the Guidance Office if you’d like to know more about what Lawson State has to offer.
*Attention Students: The Stand Up Program is hosting a talent show on Dec. 19. If you or your group are interested in performing, please see Ms. Allen for an entry packet. The deadline to apply for entering the show is Dec. 15.
*Juniors: Some of you will receive Blueprints field trip forms this week. Please know that your completed forms must be returned to Ms. Allen by Mon., Nov. 16 – No Exceptions.
*Are you a student interested in attending the University of Alabama? If so, plan to take part in the “UA ASAP” presentation that will take place on Nov. 16 at the North Shelby Library at 6:15 p.m. This workshop will give insight on the UA admissions process, financial aid, and housing.
*Attention Students: The Shelby County College & Career Center will host a Career Expo on Nov. 19 from 5:30-7:00. College and Industry representatives will be on hand to speak with students and parents. There will also be free food!

*There will be an Alumni basketball game this Thursday night @ 6 pm. All middle school & high school winter sports members will be recognized. All admission will be $5.00.
*The Battle of the Books selection test will be December 9th , less than a month away. If you’d like to try-out for the team, be sure to finish reading the books by December 9th. They will be great reads over the Thanksgiving break!
*Would you like to be a part of the Scholars’ Bowl team this year and compete against all of the other high schools in our county this spring? The try-out test will be given in the library Monday during 7th period. See Mrs. Glover or Mr. Lawley if you have any questions.
*All 9th graders will be receiving a scoliosis check on Nov. 12. Checks given by Jeff. St. nursing students.
