*Attention Juniors: The statewide ACT +Writing will be administered on Tues., April 19 to all 11th grade students. You are encouraged to get to school on time and be ready to test. Remember also that cell phones and digital devices will not be allowed in the test site and the policy will be strongly enforced. Your teachers can give you information on your testing locations. Srs. will have an opportunity to check in at 10:30 on this day… The only seniors who will have permission to check in at 10:30 are those with zero first term and 3rd nine week fail-ures and fewer than 10 unexcused absences. Only those students will be placed on the sign-in sheet. The list will be updated today and you must check with Ms. Lamonica during 7th period to determine if you are on the list or not.

*National Art Honor Society meeting has been changed to tomorrow after school in the Art room. This is a required meeting for senior members and students planning on attending the Sloss Furnace field trip.

*Congratulations to Sam Reece for being selected to represent Montevallo High School at Boys State this summer at the University of Alabama!
Teachers & Students: ASPIRE make-up will be this Wednesday. Individual teachers will receive emails regarding the students needed for testing.
*Attention Junior Girls: MHS has yet to select a representative for Girls State due to lack of student response. However, there is still time and we really want our school represented at the University of Alabama this summer. Interested young ladies must see Ms. Allen by this Thursday, April 21.
*Attention Seniors: Application information for the Tom Chambers/Lhoist North America scholarship program is now available. The program awards a renewable $1000 scholarship for a senior planning to enroll in a two or four year accredited college or university who also shows financial need. Candidates must also show a commitment to the local community and involvement in extracurricular activities. Interested seniors should visit Ms. Allenâs blog for more in-formation or pick up a flyer outside the Guidance Office.

*Attention AP Students: There will be a mandatory AP Pre-Session this Friday, April 22 during 3rd period in the cafeteria. All AP students should be present!
Seniors: It is now time to begin submitting requests for your Final Transcripts to be mailed to your intended college or university. You should only request this transcript once your college decision is final. Please plan to sub-mit your form to Ms. Lamonica before graduation. Failure to do so will prevent you from being able to enroll in your college courses. See Mrs. Lamonica for an official Final Transcript Request Form.
*Seniors: Six Mile Baptist Church is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving college-bound student. You simply have to write a one-page essay on âWhy I Need A Scholarshipâ in order to be considered. Interested students should submit essays to Ms. Allen by 12:00 p.m. this Thursday, April 21.
