*Let your voice be heard! The Montevallo City Council is holding a Youth Mayoral Discussion on Monday, August 15th at 6:00pm here in the PAC. The event is open to the public and is a chance for young citizens to address Montevallo’s candidates for Mayor, Dr. Hollie Cost and Dr. Earl Cunningham. Talk to your History teacher about any possibilities for extra credit for attending!
*Freshmen, SGA needs you! Freshman Representative Elections (for three representative positions in SGA) are just around the corner. If you are interested in helping your school and getting involved, come to a required information meeting during GPS time on Wednesday, August 17th in Mrs. Pastor’s room – Alice Boyd 305.
*Juniors: This Friday is the deadline to submit applications to take part in the Blueprints Service Learning Program sponsored by Alabama Possible and the U of Montevallo. Don’t miss out! Applications are in the Guidance Office.
*Seniors: America’s First Federal Credit Union and WBRC Fox 6 are looking for “Rising Stars” from Central AL. If you have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a record of service and extracurricular involvement, you are an ideal candidate and could win a $5000 scholarship if selected.
