What’s Happening This Week!
Thurs– FB vs SCHS-Wipe Out the Wildcats: Dress in
Beach Theme
Fri- VB @ Oak Mtn.

Tomorrow’s theme is “Wipe out the Wildcats.” Students should dress in beach clothes. Dress Code applies

Future Teacher Applications are due to Mrs. Cabrera- AB Building Room 305 by Friday, August. 30th.

MHS is going to Costa Rica! If you would like to spend part of your summer hiking up a volcano, zip lining through the jungle, seeing exotic wildlife and eating delicious food in a tropical paradise, then this is the trip for you. Parent information meeting will be Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:30 PM in room 300. Stop by Coach Cooley’s room to pick up a flyer and RSVP. This trip is open to all MHS students.

FCCLA completed applications are due TODAY by 2 PM to Mrs. Carter.

There will be a FBLA MEETING TOMORROW @ 3:05 PM ROOM 205(MRS. NUNN’S ROOM) All old and new members should to be present.

Attention Juniors: Youth Leadership Shelby County is now taking applications for this year’s class. This is a 6-month program designed to engage enthusiastic young leaders in hands-on civic experiences led by other adult community leaders. Students who are selected for the program must be able to attend a mandatory overnight retreat Nov. 3-4. See Ms. Allen for an application packet. The submission deadline is Oct. 1.

Food Pantry available at MHS. Please see Coach Niven for the key. Food items and toiletries are available. Anyone wanting to make a donation to the pantry may do so as well. Items may be dropped off at the main office.

Senior portrait orders are September 4th, 7-8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. All picture orders for football, cheer, and band are due first thing in the morning Tuesday, September 4th.

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
