·       Do you like to debate? Interested in worldwide issues and foreign countries? Then come see Ms. Pastor Room 107 during LEAD this Friday, October 14th. The Model United Nations Academic Team is looking for team members. We will be attending and competing in a conference at the University of Alabama in February (no more virtual conferences!)

·       All Girls’ Basketball players need to meet in the PAC today during A lunch! Girls interested in trying out can sign up in Mrs. Holt’s room.

·       We have a great opportunity to provide our young men with access to a mentoring program under the leadership of Dr. Maurice Valentine entitled Empowerment Mentoring. We are seeking young men to provide them with the tools to be successful academically, professionally, and personally.  If you are interested, there will be an interest meeting held in the PAC during Lead on Thursday. Email Mrs. Walker to sign up during your Lead time. There will be two sessions for students attending A lunch and B lunch.

·       The testing date for 10th Grade PreACT is Oct 18th!

·       If you are new to Montevallo and are planning on trying out for boys’ basketball you must sign up. You can sign up in Coach Blackwell or Coach Smith’s room. Tryouts will be next Tuesday at 5:30.

·       Friday will be an away game vs. Holt at 7pm.

·       Saturday, there will be a cross country meet in Trussville at 8am.
