Seniors:
The November edition of the Senior Newsletter is now available. Pick up a copy in the library or Guidance Office or download from Ms. Allen’s blog.
Seniors who have not turned in your baby picture to Ms. Ham, please do so by Wednesday if you want it in the year-book.
Any Senior who has not turned in a proof for the yearbook to Ms. Ham or Belmont, you need to do so NO LATER than Wednesday for your picture to be in the yearbook.
The University of Alabama Huntsville will host a reception tomorrow at the Homewood Library for interested students. Students who bring an official transcript will have the opportunity to have their application fee waived and receive and instant admissions decision. It will take place at 6:00 p.m.
Sophomores:
The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership program, better known as HOBY, is a national program that develops student leaders over the course of a 3-day seminar. Montevallo High School can select one sophomore to represent us in this year’s HOBY State Leadership Seminar. Interested students should see Ms. Allen by Thursday, Nov. 7. The selection process will include an essay.
All Students:
Softball Try-outs:
Tues. Nov. 5th 9th & 10th grade
Thurs. Nov. 7th 11th & 12th grade
You may pick up your try-out packet from Mrs. Gothard. You must have it returned & completed before you try out.
The yearbook staff will meet Tuesday after school from 3-4:30 in the library with the Balfour rep. Please plan to stay if at all possible.
Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: Your picture proofs and orders are due to Ms. Ham or Ms. Majors by November 12. Remember, you must turn in your proof even if you are not purchasing any pictures.
FTA meeting tomorrow night @ 5:30. Please bring your parents. Dinner will NOT be served.
Baseball try-outs will be this week today through Wed. beginning at 4:30 at the baseball field.

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
