MHS News 3/1/2021

Cap & Gown picture orders are due Friday, March 5. You can turn orders in to Mrs. Fricke, room 203, or you can place your order online.

2021 Yearbooks are $50. Purchase can be made online @ MySchoolBucks.com. There are still a few 2020 Yearbooks available to purchase for $50.

Sr. Ads for yearbooks has been extended through Friday.


All class fees are due by March 19. Stop by the main office.


Rising juniors and seniors are eligible to participate in cooperative education which is a program for students to be dismissed early from school and receive school credit for working in the community. Applications are available in the school guidance office. Questions may be emailed to Sandra Gallups at sgallups@shelbyed.org

Remember to get a good night’s sleep to prepare for testing. Pre-check out forms are available at the office window or the table in foyer. Congratulations to the girls and boys soccer teams for their win against Holt last night!
Cheerleading or Mascot packets are due TODAY by 3 pm to Mrs. Brantley Tryouts will be held March 2-5th.

Baseball game for today has been postponed until March 4 @ Jemison DH 4:30 /6:30

Anyone interested in trying out for the 2021-2022 Varsity Cheerleading squad or Mascot should pick up a packet from Mrs. Brantley. All paperwork is due Friday, February 26th. Tryouts will be held March 2-5th.

Cheer Interest Meeting – Thurs Feb 4th has been CANCELED

Would you like to be on the danceline or colorguard for the Marching Troubadour 2021 season? Applications available on the table in the foyer and are due back by Feb. 11 to Mrs. Cabrera.

Students: Be reminded that you must wear your masks on the school bus and should comply with all requests made by your bus driver. The school bus is an extension of the school, and we need everyone to stay safe and follow guidelines. Also, no blankets, hoodies or
head coverings allowed in the building!

Srs: Please drop by the counselor’s office for scholarship information from Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union or Educators Community Credit Union. You must have an active account or be willing to open an account to be eligible.

Students are not to enter the building through the front doors during class change or 5th period unless accompanied by your teacher .
If you are eating in the classroom, you must enter through a side door. If your class is in the lunchroom, then you should be also. Classes will enter side doors with their teacher once lunch period is over.

Students are reminded that no hats, hoodies or any head coverings are allowed in the buildings. You must properly wear a mask!! Blankets are not to be brought to school…if you are in need of a coat or jacket, please see Ms. Allen or Mrs. Williams. Also, if you park on campus you must have a purchased hang tag.


Parking is open to Jrs and Srs. We still have a few spots available. Stop by the main office if you need to purchase one.
