**REMINDER: The football game scheduled for Friday, Oct.25 has been changed to Thursday Oct.
24 @ Leed’s. Please mark your calendars of this change.

Tickets for Romeo and Juliet remain on sale this week for $5. Don’t wait until it is too late to reserve
your seat! Pay $5 to any English teacher. Alabama Shakespeare Festival actors will perform during
6th and 7th periods in the PAC on October 25.

Peacemaker officers will meet 7th period today in Mrs. D’Alessio’s room .

Big Brother Big Sister mentors are reminded that your first visit to MES will be today. Remember to
wear your purple shirt and meet Mrs. Egan at the start of 8thperiod. Please be prompt.

The PSAT will be administered today in Mr. Galloway’s classroom. Testers will be called immediately
after the morning announcements and testing is expected to last through 4th period. Testers are reminded to bring a scientific or graphing calculator for the test and cell phones will not be allowed.

This Friday students will be given the opportunity to take a stand against bullying and harassment by
participating in a pledge event sponsored by STAND. The event will take place in the cafeteria during
lunch. Thanks in advance for your support.

The Ghoulish Writing Contest is now in progress!
Write a two-page, typed entry. Submit to your English teacher or Mrs. D’Alessio.
Deadline is October 25.
1st prize : choice of $25 gift certificate to Applebee’s or Warehouse 31
2nd and 3rd prizes: prizes not chosen by 1st place winner

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
