Congratulations to Coach “D” , his coaching staff, and the boys basketball team on Coach D’s first win as a Montevallo Bulldog. We are on our way back! Keep up the great work!
* FBLA TOY DRIVE: New toys may be dropped off in the main office, Mrs. Nunn’s room or the cafeteria.
* Peacemakers t-shirt money due today to Mrs. D’Alessio.
* MHS Bass Fishing Team meeting for students and parents has been changed to Monday, Nov. 25 @ 6 pm in the PAC. Please bring registration fees & captain fees. Anyone interested in joining please plan to attend.
* Scholars’ Bowl Practice will be tomorrow from 3-5.
* One week from today begins our MHS Career Conference! Just like Thanksgiving Week last year, we will have a 2 day conference instead of regular classes. Monday will focus on how to become a great employee, with fun interactive sessions and special speakers on various topics. Session titles include: Know Yourself, Team Player, Stay Classy, Above & Beyond, and Wow Factor. Tuesday will be a half day Career Conference with a variety of speakers from different professions ranging from sculpting to forensic science. Also, on Tuesday afternoon, there will be a special treat for all of our
students before we all leave for the Thanksgiving holidays.
* Students are not allowed in the teacher’s lounge! No exceptions!
* Seniors:
As you may already know, the AL State Dept. of Education has decided that you no longer have to pass the Alabama High School Graduation Exam in order to graduate. However, the test will still be offered for any senior who wishes to continue to test. Please let Ms. Allen know if you feel you need to continue to test.
*Yummy Lix suckers will be sold my prom committee members during 7th period. Students will come to 7th period classes. Students should not come to purchase during the day.
*Peacemaker members will be collecting donations from MHS students and staff next Monday and Tuesday for their Fall
Fundraiser. The majority of the funds will be donated to Shelby Emergency on Valley Street, where over 1,000 needy Montevallo residents benefit from their services annually. A portion of the proceeds will help fund a homemade dinner
served to 80 Hope Lodge cancer patients and their caregivers. Thank you for caring during this season of thanksgiving and supporting Peacemakers.
* Congratulations to Claire Gray for being selected to represent MHS as our HOBY Ambassador for 2013-2014.
*All fruit sale orders and money must be turned into Mr. Ray today. Remind your customers that fruit will be in on
December 10th.
* Make-up tryouts for girls soccer will be today after school at 3:15 on the football practice field

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
