* The try-out test for the Battle of the Books team will be January 14th .
*There will be a softball team meeting today immediately after school in Coach Gothard’s room.
*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held Saturday, Feb. 8. If you are interested in becoming the next Mr. or Miss Montevallo please come by the office and get an entry form or see Mrs. Turner in room 201. All entry forms and payments must be turned in by Friday, Jan. 31st. All girls and boys in grades 9-12 may participate.
*Students Who Took the PSAT in Oct: Ms. Allen will need to meet with you today during 7th period in the library to deliver your results. Please come to the library when called.
* Juniors and Seniors: Camp Fire AL still needs about 8 upstanding students to take part in the Outside In Program. The deadline to submit your application to Ms. Allen is tomorrow. Training will take place on Jan. 14.
* MHS will be administering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery on Thurs., Jan. 23 at 8:00 a.m. Not only is the ASVAB required for students planning to enter the military, but it is also a great career assessment that helps stu-dents decide on a career path. Students who take the ASVAB are NOT obligated to the military, but will receive a very insightful score report and access to a career exploration tool. Interested students should sign up with Ms. Allen by Jan. 16.
* Support Montevallo’s Future Teachers by having dinner at Full Moon Barbeque this Weekend. Students will work for tips to help pay for state convention. Friday 5:00-9:00, Saturday 5:00-9:00, and Sunday 11:00 – 3:00.
* There will be a prom committee will meet today during 7th period.
* Students who are in Big Brothers Big Sisters: You will NOT be going to Montevallo Elementary today. The program will resume next Wednesday.
* Any senior, junior, or sophomore girl interested in being a Diamond Doll the signup sheet will be hanging on Coach Nelson/Mrs. Blake’s door.
