*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held Saturday, Feb. 8. If you are interested in becoming the next Mr. or Miss Montevallo please come by the office and get an entry form or see Mrs. Turner in room 201. All entry forms and payments must be turned in by Friday, Jan. 31st. All girls and boys in grades 9-12 may participate.
* MHS will be administering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery on Thurs., Jan. 23 at 8:00 a.m. Not only is the ASVAB required for students planning to enter the military, but it is also a great career assessment that helps students decide on a career path. Students who take the ASVAB are NOT obligated to the military, but will receive a very insightful score report and access to a career exploration tool. Interested students should sign up with Ms. Allen by Jan.16.
* Montevallo’s Future Teachers would like to invite you and your families to have dinner at Alabaster’s Full Moon BBQ. They are working for tips. Friday 5:00-9:00 Saturday 5:00-9:00 Sunday 11:00-3:00
* We will have a make-up picture day on Wednesday, January 15th for any student in grades 9, 10, and 11 who DID NOT have theirs made 1st semester. These are the pictures that will go in the yearbook, so please be sure to get yours made if you haven’t already. This is ONLY for students who have not had a picture taken.
* Yearbook sales will continue until February 5th.
* Seniors wanting an ad in the yearbook: The deadline for turning in your information and pictures is February 5th. We will NOT be able to take any after that date due to our yearbook page deadlines. If you need an ad sheet, they are outside Ms. Ham’s classroom.
* SGA meeting during 7th period All SGA members are required to attend.
* There will be a parent meeting for all soccer players on Tuesday the 14th starting at 5:30. The meeting will be held in coach Galloway’s classroom.
* Battle of the Books try-outs will be Jan. 14.
* Prom Tickets will be sold during lunch. Cost is $30 each until March.
