*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held Saturday, Feb. 8. If you are interested in becoming the next Mr. or Miss Montevallo please come by the office and get an entry form or see Mrs. Turner in room 201. All entry forms and payments must be turned in by Friday, Jan. 31st. All girls and boys in grades 9-12 may participate.
* MHS will be administering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery on Thurs., Jan. 23 at 8:00 a.m. Not only is the ASVAB required for students planning to enter the military, but it is also a great career assessment that helps students decide on a career path. Students who take the ASVAB are NOT obligated to the military, but will receive a very insightful score report and access to a career exploration tool. Interested students should sign up with Ms. Allen by Jan. 16.
* We will have a make-up picture day on Wednesday for any student in grades 9, 10, and 11 who DID NOT have theirs made 1st semester. These are the pictures that will go in the yearbook, so please be sure to get yours made if you haven’t already. This is ONLY for students who have not had a picture taken.
* Yearbook sales will continue until February 5th.
* Seniors wanting an ad in the yearbook: The deadline for turning in your information and pictures is February 5th. We will NOT be able to take any after that date due to our yearbook page deadlines. If you need an ad sheet, they are outside Ms. Ham’s classroom.

* There will be a parent meeting for all soccer players on tomorrow starting at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held in Coach Galloway’s classroom.
* Battle of the Books try-outs will be tomorrow. Please see Mrs. Glover with any questions..
* Prom Tickets will be sold during lunch. Cost is $30 each until March.
* There will be a mandatory Fishing Team meeting tonight at 6 pm in the cafeteria.
There will be an “Above the Influence” meeting in the band room this Thursday morning from 7:15 – 7:40 A.M. “Above the Influence” is a program where students will be empowered to make a difference within their community, school, and families. The students involved in the program will participate in two community service projects. If you are interested in being a part of this
program and making a positive difference in your school and community, please attend our first meeting this Thursday morning. All students are welcome to attend.
