Mass Comm and Spotlight students are now selling the new Coupons for Classrooms coupon book for only $20.
Students: the Jefferson County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will be offering free ACT prep classes on March 1 and March 8 at Lawson State Community College. Register on-line at www.eventbrite.com or see Ms. Allen for more info.
Seniors: The Shelby County Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has two $1000 scholarships available for qualified female applicants with a minimum 3.0 GPA. See Ms. Allen for an application.
Students interested in being a part of next year’s broadcast team need to see Ms. Turner for an application. Appli-cations are due Monday.
Students Who Took The ASVAB: Ms. Allen will be distributing your score reports during the lunch waves today so please be sure to stop by her table. Seniors can get their scores during the senior meeting today.
PTSO meeting Monday the 24th at 6:00 in the MHS Library.
There will be an important SGA meeting today in Mrs. Pastor’s room during 7th period.
Students and teachers: There will be a senior meeting held during 4th period today in the PAC.
Seniors: The Shelby County Education Association has a $1000 scholarship for a high school senior who will be graduating in May 2014 from an Alabama public high school and whose custodial parent, guardian, step parent, or grandparent is an active member in good standing of the Shelby County Education Association. See Ms. Allen for an application. The deadline is March 18.
8th Grade Parent Night will be held at MHS on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:00 in the PAC. Please spread the word if you have siblings in middle school.

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
