Tuesday – TOO OLD TUESDAY (Dress as a senior citizen)
Wednesday – WILD ANIMAL WEDNESDAY (Dress as
your favorite animal)
Thursday – SPIRIT DAY (Wear your class Homecoming Shirt.
If you did not buy one, then wear something MHS or your spirit
shirt)
Friday – FREAKY FRIDAY (Tacky Day – wear something
tacky)
Sophomores: It is now time to select the HOBY representative for
MHS. HOBY participants attend a weekend leadership seminar where they
learn how to use their leadership skills to make a difference in their communities.
See Ms. Allen for more info if you’d like to be considered.
Students: Are you a student currently facing some difficult challenges? If
so, know that you are not alone. Ms. Allen is now offering students the opportunity to sign up for small groups. Visit the guidance office this week if you’d like to give one a try.
Seniors: Your scholarship award letters will soon start rolling in. Please
remember to give Ms. Allen copies of any reward letters you receive this
year.
Help your class earn homecoming points by supporting the FBLA
Food Drive and Coin Drop. Boxes and containers will be placed in
each English Class.
There will be a Jr. City Council meeting tomorrow at 3:30 at City
Hall. This meeting is open to the public.
YLDP Participants: Please be reminded that the kick-off meeting will
be held at Homewood High School at 4:00 this afternoon. You and a
parent must make plans to attend, and you will need your ticket to
enter.
Cross Country practice is canceled for today.

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
