*Attention 9th & 10th grade girls: The Shelby County College & Career Center is partnering with Alabama Power to offer Girls Can Camp this summer! Girls Can is a hands-on camp featuring interior design, drafting, welding, carpentry, and other construction specialties. Only 15 campers are accepted each year so see Ms. Allen as soon as possible for your application. The deadline is April 30.
*We now have short sleeve MHS t-shirts on sale for $3.00. Please come by the main office to purchase. Josten’s will be on campus Tuesday, April 14 before school in the cafeteria with sr. announcements delivery. You must pay any and all balances at this time.
*Do you still need to complete your yearly requirement of Give Me Five service hours? MHS SGA will be sponsoring the annual Day of Service this Saturday, April 11th from 8AM – 12PM. If you work the whole 4 hours you will com-plete your 5 hour service requirement! Come improve your school, have some snacks, possibly win a prize, and com-plete your service hours all at once !
*Come support the cheerleaders this weekend at Full Moon in Alabaster. Friday, 5-9; Saturday, 5-9; Sunday, 11-3.
*Boys Basketball Tryouts will be April 27, 28 & 29 from 5-7 pm . And Boys Basketball Banquet Will Be April 30th @ 6 pm. Please see Coach D for more information.
*Friday at 2 pm is the last day to purchase your prom ticket. Cost is $50 per ticket. If Mrs. Hipps does not have a filled out prom ticket, she cannot place your T-shirt and dessert orders. If you are not going to prom and would like to buy a t-shirt cost is $15.00. See Mrs. Hipps.
*Juniors: A representative from the Marine Corps will be in the library this Friday during 7th period to share informa-tion about ROTC scholarship opportunities. Interested students are invited to attend.
*AP Students: Ms. Allen will conduct a mandatory pre-session for all AP students on Wed., April 15 at 9:00 in the cafeteria. Please remember to pay our AP fees if you haven’t already.

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
