This Friday Night the Bulldogs travel to Ashville to take on their Bulldogs and Kickoff is at 7:00pm. Go Dogs!!
*Attention Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentors: There will be a mandatory match meeting TODAY during 7th period in the PAC.
*Seniors: Ms. Allen is now working on submissions for the Fox 6/ America’s First Rising Star Program. Nominated stu-dents must have a minimum 3.5 and a record of extracurricular involvement. Finalists have the potential to earn scholar-ship money. Interested students should submit a resume to Ms. Allen by mid-October.
*Juniors: Youth Leadership Shelby County is seeking self-motivated, socially conscientious students to be part of this year’s program. Applications are now being accepted and must be returned to Ms. Allen by Sept. 30. Students who are selected must attend a mandatory leadership retreat Nov. 1 & 2.
*Juniors and Seniors : A representative from UAB will be on campus TOMORROW to meet with interested students. The session will be in the library during 7th period. Sign up in the Guidance Office.
*Juniors and Seniors : A representative from Herzing University will be on campus Thursday to meet with interested stu-dents. The session will be in the library during 7th period. Sign up in the Guidance Office. There will also be a senior meeting Thursday during 4th period.
*Congratulations to the Senior class for being the overall winner of Homecoming Week! And thanks to all students who kept the week fun, showed great school spirit, and demonstrated good sportsmanship throughout the week.
*Homecoming Wall decorations should be taken down this week, and all materials and walls thoroughly cleaned up after-ward. Let’s help out our maintenance staff and not add to their workload!
*REMINDER: All students who have been invited to the Shelby County Student Leadership Conference THIS Thursday need to get their signed and completed permission forms in to Mrs. Pastor by Wednesday, September 23rd.

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
