*School day picture orders are due to Ms. Adams TODAY
*Students: Ms. Allen is now registering students for the PSAT that will be administered on Oct. 14. . Space is limited and the test fee is $15. Interested students should register by Oct. 8.
*Juniors: Youth Leadership Shelby County applications must be returned to Ms. Allen TODAY. Students who are selected must attend a mandatory leadership retreat Nov. 1 & 2.
*Apply to join Students Institute! Applications to join Students Institute (a Community Improvement Program in which MES, MMS, and MHS work together on community improvement projects) are now available this week in Mrs. Pas-tor’s classroom or in the office. Space is limited, so hurry and apply! Applications must be completed and turned in to Mrs. Pastor by Friday, October 2nd to be considered for the program. First Workshop will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015
*Juniors and Seniors: A representative from Alabama State University will be on campus TOMORROW during 7th period in the library. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office
*Attention All Students: Peer Helpers will be hosting a suicide prevention awareness program this Friday during 7th pe-riod in the PAC; however, you must sign up in advance to attend. Sign-up sheets will be available in the Guidance Of-fice as well as in some of your classrooms.
*Attention Big Brothers Big Sisters participants: Be sure that you have signed up for the REMIND text notices. See Ms. Allen if you did not get a text regarding last week’s trip to MES. No “all calls” will be made.

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
