Battle of the Books will not meet this week. We will meet next Wednesday, Feb. 10th.

Yearbooks are on sale now! Less than 35 remain to be sold, $40. See Ms. Adams to pay for yours. Room 115.

Senior ads for the yearbook are on sale now through Feb. 9. See Ms. Adams to get an ad contract.

Juniors: The Shelby County Spring College Fair will be held at UM on Feb. 12. Permission forms will be made available in your history classes and must be returned by Tues., Feb. 9!

Students: Peer Helper Applications are now available. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and must participate in an interview. You may pick up applications from Mrs. Pastor or Ms. Allen and they are due back by Feb. 12.

January community service hours will be due TOMORROW.

Attention Students Who Took the PSAT in Oct.: Ms. Allen will meet with you TODAY in the library during 7th period to distribute your score reports.

Attention Students: Students in grades 10 & 11 should see Ms. Allen if you were not in class to get your course selection packets last week. The final deadline for submission of course request forms and supplemental applications is Feb. 29. Remember that many courses will require teacher approval.

Attention ASVAB testers: Ms. Allen will meet with you this Wed. during 7th period in the library to distribute your ASVAB Scores.

Senior WorkKeys Testing will begin TOMORROW. Seniors are encouraged to arrive to school on time and should report to first period before being called to your testing site.

8th Grade Parent Night will be held at MHS on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6:00 pm in the PAC.

Scholars Bowl practice for today has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, February 3.

Students going on the Write Connection field trip should get their money and permission slip to Mrs. Howard by Tuesday, Feb. 9. If you need a permission slip, see your English teacher.

“Are you interested in being a majorette, dance line or color guard member for the 2016 band season? If so, see Mrs. Wayman or Mr. Lawley for an informational packet. There will be a mandatory parent interest meeting on February 11th.”

“Interested in trying out for cheerleading? There will be a mandatory parent meeting February 18th in the PAC at 6 PM for all interested cheerleaders. See Mrs. Asbury for more information.”

Come out see who will be crowned the next Mr. and Miss Montevallo, Saturday, Feb. 6 in the Performing Arts Center. Admission is $5.

Congratulations to both boys and girls basketball team for their wins last night against Jemison High School. Both boys and girls have won 20 games so far this season. Go dawgs!

The leadership group that met the Saturday in August and the group that went to the Shelby County Leadership Conference at Valleydale church back in September will meet Thursdays in the library during 7th period. Students involved will receive a Google e-mail or Remind message to come this Thursday.
