*The last day to buy prom tickets is NEXT THURSDAY @3 PM. Anyone interested in purchasing the prom t-shirt may do so for $12 each.
*February’s Community Service hours are due Thursday . Be sure to get your forms completed and turned in. If you turn in 5 hours of service, you can be rewarded with Dominos pizza.
*Are you a senior set to attend Jeff State this fall? If so, you are invited to register for one of their upcoming preview days on March 11 or March 25. You must register on-line to attend.
*Juniors & Seniors: A representative from Judson College will be here TODAY during 7th period in the
library to meet with interested young ladies. Sign up in the Guidance Office if you want to learn more about what they have to offer.
*Attention Junior Leaders: Would you like to enhance your leadership potential? If so, see Ms. Allen about the JSU Emerging Leaders Day which will be held on March 15. Spaces are limited!
*Students: The University of Montevallo is offering an ACT Prep Camp for rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students May 31-June 3 and again June 6-June 9. The registration fee is $125 per session with partial scholarships available for children of UM employees and students with financial need. Visit Ms. Allen’s blog for registration info.
*Seniors: The FAFSA Help event sponsored by Blueprints will take place Thurs in the library. If you signed up, please remember to adhere to your scheduled time and let Ms. Allen know if you have any questions.
Attention AP Students: Be reminded that AP Exam Fees are due by March 7. See Ms. Allen if you are unsure about what you may owe.
*Attention Rising Seniors: MHS is considering offering AP US Government & Politics as a replacement course for Honors US Government next year. If you are interested in taking this course, see Ms. Allen by Thursday to make the change on your course form. You will not be considered for the course if your form is not submitted. New AP contracts will be issued for this course if it is finalized.
*Students & Teachers: During the week of March 14, MHS will take part in a county-wide Child Advocacy Awareness Campaign. Stay tuned for information on activities and initiatives that will be spearheaded by the MHS Peer Helpers.

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
