MHS News 4/5/2016

Attention Juniors: The ACT Plus Writing will be administered to all juniors on April 19. Ms.Allen will be in your classrooms to conduct the pre-session this week.

Students and Teachers: All 10th grade students will take part in state-wide ASPIRE testing next week, April 11-14. Sophomores will follow regular schedule, and it will be extremely important that you report to school on time each day for testing. Only grades 9, 11, & 12 will be following a late-start schedule.

Attention AP Students: Please remember that your AP exam fees must be paid to Ms. Allen as soon as possible. The final deadline for AP exam, as well as other fees, is April 22.

Seniors: Please remember to give Ms. Allen copies of any scholarship award letters you receive. There are a number of scholarships with upcoming deadlines. Be sure to check the Counselor’ Corner blog for application information.

There will be a meeting tomorrow during 7th period for anyone interested in playing football.

Ok students…It’s time to take over the bragging rights from faculty! Faculty says they can’t be beat! There will be a student/faculty basketball game on Thurs. $5 to play See Coach D if you are interested in playing. $2 to watch Pay during lunch

Volunteer hours for the month of March need to be turned in to your history teacher by Thursday. This will be the last time volunteer hours will be collected for the Community Service Project sponsored by the National Honor Society. Names will be drawn for prizes from those who have turned in their hours each month.

Only 7 MHS t-shirts (blue) available. Cost is $10 each. Please come by the main office if you are interested in purchasing. Sizes limited

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
